HISTORY
Urick Foundry first began operation as a family business in 1905. The foundry provided a variety of parts for several industries, including the electrical motor industry. In 1974 Emerson Electric Company acquired Urick Foundry to provide parts for their electric motor division.
Emerson transferred operation of the facility to the Ridge Tool Company in 1984 and ten million dollars was spent to upgrade the facility to a modern Disamatic operation. Today Urick Foundry remains a state of the art Disamatic foundry. We are the primary supplier of Ductile Iron wrench handles and related parts for the Ridge Tool Company.
Approximately 30% of our product is captive, with the remaining capacity we supply a wide variety of industries.
